I love this picture because it looks like Amalea is about to strike someone with her frying pan!  Friday night we played and laughed at home.  It was nice to have an evening to relax and kick off the weekend.

We got to go to the Zoo on Saturday and we had a blast.  I feel like this was the first time Amalea really noticed the animals…she kept pointing at the animals and saying lots of random gibberish.  It was fun to see her into the event this time.  My favorite animal at the Zoo is the leopard and Amalea loved it too!

After the Zoo we picked up Jim’s grandmother from the train station and spent the evening and next morning with her.  It was so great to have her come visit and Amalea had a lot of fun. She perfected saying “GG” (means great grandmother) and kept saying it.  Even this morning she was asking where GG was.

Finally, on Sunday we were able to play at the park.  The weather has been unusually nice for this time of the year so we are taking advantage of that.  Amalea truly loves the park and here is a picture of her swinging and laughing (with her crazy hair).

So, this is my first attempt at posting on the new site.  Hopefully it works.  It looks like Jim knows how to post pictures on the site now using the flickr tool so I am sure he’ll be doing that when he has a chance.  He takes great pictures and his camera is nice so they turn out much better than mine do (as you can see in this post – the first and third from my camera and the second and fourth are from his).
